Yes, my name is Buzzy! My parents named me something else legally and then decided not to call me by that name for reasons unbeknownst to us all. I’ve never taken the time to legally change it, mostly because I enjoy the pseudo anonymity that comes with having two of me.
Throughout life, my “when I grow up list” always included four things: become a wife, mother, teacher, and President of the United States. I’ve already completed 75% of my major life goals and I’m still not old enough to run for president!
I have climbed many mountains, travelled to a handful of countries, and I went skiing once, but it will always be true that the greatest adventure of my life is being a wife and mother! I am so proud to be married to Cade. He’s a police officer who loves the community he serves and strives to help people better themselves. Throwback picture to January 2011, two months before our wedding.
It is no exaggeration to say that I am forever thankful for Cade who is both an extraordinary husband and sensational father. We have two wild boys and in 2019 welcomed our daughter, Baby A! The kids bring an unfathomable amount of joy and energy to our life. I love every mess, every sloppy kiss, and every adventure we have with our children; they won’t be little forever and I intentionally seek to cherish every moment of the time we have been given to raise our family.
G is our oldest. He’s an actual genius who is obsessed with multiplying large numbers as fast as possible. At bedtime, he often prays the sweetest things. Other times, he says things like “Thank you, God, that I pulled Tata’s finger and he farted.”
C is our second born with stunning blue eyes! He wears costumes like they are his clothing, and cares a lot about what’s right. He’s courageous, kind, and thinks Star Wars is pretty cool. Throw back to when he was little:
Third comes Baby A, making me not only a boy mom, but a girl mom too! She’s beautiful & totally wild. It’s a running joke in our family that she’s part raccoon because, well, she eats out of the trash, climbs wrecklessly on things, and has a semi-permanent tangle in the back of her head (I have one too.. it’s like mother/daughter outfits but better!). Another throwback:
The sibling bond is strong between these three, and I pray that it only grows stronger as they grow up.
I have a penchant for suggesting and executing random adventures both big and small. Sometimes it’s an unplanned stop to get ice cream and others it’s a whirlwind vacation on a whim! Sometimes it’s a road trip across the country without a single planned stopping point!
Sometimes it’s starting a blog and hoping it makes enough money to fuel us on a year long adventure wherever the road takes us!
